Royal Power Energy: Making Every Unit of Power Work Smarter

How a New Jersey-based energy technology company is approaching power efficiency, grid capacity, and cleaner electricity through its OmniPower™ system.

A Different Way to Think About Energy

The future of electricity is not only about generating more power. It is also about using the power already available more intelligently.

As electricity demand continues to grow across commercial facilities, industrial operations, data infrastructure, and utility networks, efficiency has become an increasingly important part of the conversation. For Royal Power Energy (RPE), that conversation begins with a technical issue that can have very practical consequences: power factor.

RPE is a power solutions, technology, and distribution company focused on energy-efficiency technologies. At the center of its offering is OmniPower™, a power factor correction system designed to monitor electrical conditions and automatically adjust correction to changing loads.

Addressing an Often-Overlooked Challenge

Power factor is a technical measurement, but its impact can reach directly into a company's operating costs and electrical infrastructure.

When electrical systems carry significant reactive loads, they can require more current to deliver useful power. That can contribute to losses, additional heating, and inefficient use of electrical capacity.

RPE's approach is designed to reduce those effects by continuously managing power factor and reactive power. Its OmniPower™ system integrates an Automatic Power Factor Controller, software, and related electrical components to maintain power factor correction at a target of approximately 0.98 PF, according to the company.

Rather than relying only on a fixed correction setting, the system is designed to respond to changing electrical conditions.

That ability to adjust is particularly relevant for facilities where power demand changes throughout the day.

“The smarter grid is not simply one that produces more electricity—it is one that makes better use of the electricity already flowing through it.”

— Frank J. Spano

Technology Built Around the Customer

RPE does not describe OmniPower™ as a standard, off-the-shelf product.

The company says each system is designed around the customer's specific load characteristics and electrical requirements. Its qualification process begins with an engineering review of a facility's electrical diagram and historical power bills. If the initial analysis indicates that the technology may be appropriate, RPE moves to a more detailed power-quality assessment.

That assessment can examine real power, reactive power, power factor, harmonics, distortion, and other electrical parameters over an extended testing period.

The purpose is straightforward: understand the facility first, then determine what kind of solution makes sense.

This engineering-led approach allows the company to position its technology around actual operating conditions rather than a generic installation.

More Than a Utility Bill

Energy savings are naturally an important part of the conversation.

RPE says its OmniPower™ system has helped customers achieve savings on power bills and is intended to reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions, and equipment wear. The company's published materials also describe the system's ability to address harmonic currents that can contribute to unwanted heating in electrical equipment.

For industrial and commercial customers, the potential value can therefore extend beyond the monthly electricity bill.

Improving electrical efficiency can support equipment performance, reduce unnecessary electrical losses, and potentially create additional operating capacity within an existing system.

That makes power-factor correction part of a larger conversation about operational efficiency and infrastructure management.

A Broader Opportunity for Utilities

RPE's ambitions extend beyond individual buildings and industrial facilities.

The company also markets OmniPower™ to utilities as a technology that can help increase grid hosting capacity and potentially reduce the need for some conventional infrastructure upgrades. Its solutions page specifically highlights utilities and commercial/industrial customers as two key markets.

RPE has also publicly described a project involving Con Edison, where OmniPower™ was deployed as part of a non-wires approach intended to address capacity requirements. According to RPE, the project involved a targeted 16-megawatt load reduction across facilities in Jamaica, Queens.

Projects such as this illustrate the larger opportunity the company sees: improving the efficiency of existing infrastructure rather than assuming that every increase in demand must immediately be answered with new infrastructure.

Efficiency and Sustainability Together

Energy efficiency and environmental responsibility are increasingly connected.

RPE's stated mission includes reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints while helping customers operate more efficiently.

This is particularly relevant as businesses face growing pressure to control operating expenses while also demonstrating progress toward sustainability goals.

For RPE, the two objectives can work together. If electrical systems can operate more efficiently, customers may reduce wasted energy while also lowering the environmental impact associated with that unnecessary consumption.

The company therefore places OmniPower™ within a wider vision of cleaner and more efficient electricity use.

Leadership With an Engineering Background

Royal Power Energy is led by Frank J. Spano, President and CEO.

According to RPE's official biography, Spano has a background in electrical engineering and extensive executive experience in technology and communications businesses. At RPE, his responsibilities include research and development, operations, marketing, sales, services, and strategic partnerships.

His leadership reflects the company's combination of engineering, technology development, and commercial strategy.

The wider leadership team also brings experience from utilities, technology, business development, and communications. Daniel Simon, for example, joined RPE after a long career with Con Edison, while Richard Sweatt brings experience in technology development, sales, and business strategy.

Preparing for a More Demanding Energy Future

The electricity landscape is changing rapidly.

Data centers, artificial intelligence infrastructure, electric vehicles, industrial electrification, and renewable-energy systems are creating new patterns of demand. At the same time, utilities are under pressure to improve reliability and make better use of existing infrastructure.

That environment creates an opportunity for technologies focused not only on producing energy, but on managing it more intelligently.

Royal Power Energy has built its identity around that opportunity.

Through OmniPower™, the company is seeking to combine automated power-factor correction, monitoring, electrical conditioning, and engineering analysis into a practical solution for businesses and utilities.

Its story is ultimately about efficiency—but also about changing the way organizations think about the electricity they already consume.

The Road Ahead

Royal Power Energy's work sits at the intersection of technology, infrastructure, cost management, and sustainability.

As energy demand rises, the question facing businesses and utilities will not simply be how to obtain more electricity. It will also be how to reduce waste, improve power quality, extend the usefulness of existing infrastructure, and make every part of the electrical system work more effectively.

That is the space RPE is seeking to address.

The future of energy will belong not only to those who generate more power, but to those who learn how to use every part of the power system more intelligently. Royal Power Energy is building its vision around exactly that idea—turning efficiency into an opportunity for a stronger, cleaner, and more capable energy future.
